Description
This is a 5 X 7 sepia tone photograph that is part of a collection of photographs that came on the scene in the 1980’s it shows the photographer W.C. Wolfe in his studio with a phonograph that is labeled the Electric Universal Autophone. It supposedly played both cylinders and disc records. The photograph shows a double exposure of the presumed photographer Wolfe pretending to shake hands with his double. Included in the lot are 2 reprinted articles from the Antique Phonograph News July Aug 1998 and May June 1993 trying to shed light on the origin of the phonograph.
