Phonographs Nickelodeons Music Boxes Parts
Lot 2059:
Description
One of the most complete Edison Mimeograph outfits we have seen. The word mimeograph was first used by Albert Blake Dick when he licensed Edison’s patents for his Automatic Writing Device in 1887. Dick received Trademark Registration no. 0356815 for the term mimeograph in the US Patent Office. Over time, the term mimeograph became generic and is now an example of a genericized trademark. In overall VG condition with all the parts intact. The original operating instructions are missing but a photo copy of instructions is included. The oak case has the original Edison / A.B. dick color decal. The box has been clear coated. Measures 17" wid, 13" deep, 5"tall.
