Country of Origin: United States. Long Description: A U.S. Navy style ammunition shipping container. Almost all of the original markings have been painted over, but a partial marking shows this held Time Fuse at one point. The side of the container has raised letters stating “AMMUNITION COMPONENT; BOX MK 2 MOD 0; 902440-AEE1”. Stamped into the cover of the container is “AMMUNITION COMPONENT; BOX MK 2 MOD 0; 982443-C FA”. This appears to have been converted to an explosives ready box with the addition of thick sheets of plastic screwed to the inside surfaces. A considerable amount of unofficial hand written information is on the outside surfaces.
