Guns & Militaria
Lot 2350:
This is an unusual pattern Ernst Pack & Söhne made sword. It has a tight wing shield eagle with interlocking pattern on the top of shield and has a ‘sunflower” motif on the metal grip wrap at midpoint of grip. Wire is fairly tight and black celluloid is not cracked or chipped. It is 39.5″ overall with 33.75″ blade. Much of the gold wash is worn away, Lion has both glass ruby eyes. The blade is very bright with light abrasions and in/out wear. The very tip is blunted but not very noticeable. Black painted scabbard is not dented on dinged and shows wear. The pattern may be a deluxe option that we have not seen before.
