Guns & Militaria
Lot 2319:
Description
Made by W.W. Greener during WW I to fit on a Webley .455 Mark VI pistol with the intention of leaving an officer in the trenches with a weapon after emptying his gun. It was made froms a French Gras bayonet blade and a cast brass handle. This is an original piece and numbered to a pistol. It has been compared to known examples and is not made from parts or a replica. It is estimated that there were less than 100 made and is extremely rare to find one in this excellent condition.
