WWII British RAF Avro Anson 1 Bomber Propeller
This twin blade propeller is for the famous British Avro Anson twin engine airplane – for the Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah aero-engine. The Avro “Anson” served many roles in the 1930s and 1940s from maritime patrol to bomber to Air Transport. These wooden propellers for the RAF were made in Canada and this one has a reprinted aircraft company decal for S & S Aircraft company of Winnipeg. The prop is 89″ long and appears to have been air used and then beautifully refurbished for display. It is serial numbered on metal hub twice and on the wood. The brass blade guard and the rivet work are so well done. “D-90, P-78 Cheetah MK1X, Anson 1, AUG 1943” inscribed in middle. The condition is excellent and this is for any aviation or military collector or for any well appointed man cave.
