Item Description: Small unpainted practice hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: M 73
Cal./Size: 2-inches in diameter and 3 ¼-inches high
Color: Unpainted Manufacturer: Unknown. Country of Origin: Belgium Trainer: Yes. Long Description: Cast aluminum unpainted body with a hole in the base. The markings “FRAG GREN PRAC” are cast into the body. The fuze is marked “GR F PRAC M73A1, LOT 0020 MCR92”. The MCR indicates manufacture by MECAR, S.A. Practice version of the M72 fragmentation grenade. Lot number and other data is cast into the base, but they have been used enough that it is hard to read. This one has been thrown a lot.
