Guns & Militaria
Lot 2052:
This A-2 jacket is identified as belonging to Captain XXXX of the 54th Troop Carrier Squadron. The spec is missing the size tag and appears to be a size 38, Tag shows made by Bronco MFG Corp., New York City. Some research has come to light that Bronco made many of the jackets for the 54th Troop Carrier Squadron. It has very worn leather rank tabs on epaulettes. There is the stitch hole evidence of leather name tag and patch appears to be a decal transfer on leather and even wear and retains some of the color. It shows hard use and age. The knit cuffs and waist band show snags, holes, and some fraying. Front zipper functions and leather shows no hardening from sweat at armpits and not splits at the leather seams and leather is still fairy supple. Brown cotton lining is in decent shape and not ripped. TBA per contact with consignor
