Lot 2027:
This is an authentic WWII German helmet that has been redone to be SS helmet. The liner and chinstrap are German post war army. Liner is perforated with size 58. This helmet was once very rusted and pitted and may have ended up as West German factory police helmet and then decals were added. No numbers or maker marks can be seen. The estate reported this was done in the 1960s.
