Description
This globe with all of its original ornamental cast iron fittings is in average as found original condition. Has its finials, binding rods and original cast iron moveable mounting bracket. All of the described items have remnants of their original finish – they were most likely brass plated originally and the finish is well worn from many years of use with rust and oxidation approximately 40% finish remaining. The original glass globe is in relatively good condition free of any visible chips or cracks however the inside of the globe is a bit cloudy with staining and mineral deposits and could use a good cleaning. Measures 20" T X 10" D. The mounting bracket is 8" T X 14" L. Please see companion piece 1027a.
