Item Description: Heavy serrated practice hand grenade
Type Designator/Model: MKII. Cal./Size: 2 ¼-inches in diameter and 4 ½ -inches high. Color: High polish steel or chromed. Manufacturer: Unknown. Country of Origin: United States Trainer: Yes. Long Description: Practice? grenade for the MKII and MKIIA1 fragmentation hand grenades. There is a threaded hole in the base of the body. The marking cast into the body is “W S”. Markings stamped into the top of the fuze are “FUZE M10A3; O.T.M. – 1-8”. The body of the grenade has been chromed, but some has worn off. Bottom is threaded. This might not be a practice grenade but an early MKII converted to desk trophy. We are going off inventory notes with the practice use theory.
