Description
Lot is inert and safe. This lot of 2 from Jim Geibel collection includes 1) Type Designator/Model: CN 115 Triple Chaser Cal./Size: 2 ¾-inches in diameter and 6 ¼-inches high Color: Unpainted aluminum with markings in red. Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Saltsburg, PA. Country of Origin: United States
Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: Yes. A sectioned body showing the three separate charges, the ignition cord and the simulated filler. The fuze is present. There are four tape covered emission holes on the top of the body. Each charge has an emission hole on the top and bottom. When functioned, pressure separates the two lower charges from the body. Stamped on top of the fuze handle is “INERT”.
Markings on the body are “No. 115 Federal Triple Chaser Grenade; CN 115; warnings and
instructions, and the company logo”. This was once mounted on a board and two mounting holes are present.
2) Cylindrical bodied CN tear gas hand grenade. Type Designator/Model: CN 121
Cal./Size: 2 ¾-inches in diameter and 6 ¼-inches high.
Color: Unpainted aluminum with red markings. Manufacturer: Federal Laboratories, Saltsburg, PA Country of Origin: United States. Trainer: Yes. Cutaway: Yes. A partially cutaway body showing a mock-up filler. The fuze has a simulated detonator attached. This is a bursting type grenade as there are no emission holes. This was once mounted on a board and two mounting holes are present. Printed on the top of the fuze handle is the word “INERT”. Markings include “CN 121; and the company name and logo, all enclosed in a dashed red box; No. 121 Federal; Flame Proof Dust Grenade; TEAR GAS (CN); and a warning.
