This exceptional piece of Southside baseball history is a vintage 1972 Chicago White Sox team-signed baseball featuring approximately 27 authentic black ballpoint ink signatures from a 87 win year on the South Side. This highly comprehensive team ball captures immense star power across its panels featuring Wilber Wood, Stan Bahnsen, Bill Melton, Carlos May, Ed Herrmann manager Chuch Tanner sweet spot and many others. The authentic vintage leather baseball exhibits a beautiful, natural cream-colored aged patina with minor, uniform surface toning consistent with its age, while the signatures range from light to boldly legible and present beautifully on a period correct Joe Cronin American League Baseball showcased inside acrylic display.
