Vintage Bell System KS-8455 Line Loop Tester, marked “KS8456” on leather case, an analog ohm and DC voltmeter used historically by telephone company linemen, utilized for checking telecommunication lines for resistance, insulation faults, shorts and opens, case features custom window cutouts that allowed linemen to view the meter display and adjust the control dials without removing the device from its protection, bakelite body structurally intact, no cracks or chips, standard age-related scuffs, mild text fading, glass faceplate is clear and unbroken, analog needle rests naturally near the zero mark, knobs are present, surface oxidation, leather case in solid condition with intact brass snap fasteners, surface staining, mild scuffs and faded brand imprint, no visible dry-rotting or cracking, good condition, see photos. Interesting item for telecommunication historians and electronic enthusiasts.
