Antique Big Ben “Picture Clock”, early 1900s, hand-painted over a photo, features a daytime view of the Elizabeth Tower and the Houses of Parliament, real, small mechanical clock movement built directly into the backing, allowing the clock face to peek through the artwork where the dial would normally be, label on back reads “E. White, 20, Cockspur St. London”, a highly esteemed English clockmaker who operated his shop at this location between 1861 and 1900, he intentionally crafter these “picture clocks” as high-end commemorative souvenirs for wealthy clients during the late Victorian era, he worked as a foreman for the firm famous for building the actual mechanical movement inside the real Big Ben tower, housed in a heavily detailed gilt frame, missing some chunks, tiny puncture holes in the artwork, comes with original key taped to the back, good condition, see photos. 14″ x 11″
