This exceptional deck of “Cir-Q-Lar” round playing cards, manufactured by John Waddington Ltd. of Leeds and London, England, features a rare corporate advertising back for “His Master’s Voice” (HMV) gramophone records, showcasing the iconic Nipper dog logo alongside British dance band leader Jack Hylton. Merging vintage audio marketing with 1920s novelty gaming, the circular cardstock pieces are housed in their original inner slipcase and two-piece outer promotional box. The item exhibits age-appropriate wear throughout, including noticeable edge fraying, flattening, scuffing, and heavy toning to both cardboard boxes, while the cards themselves show handling marks, light surface smudging, and minor edge wear.
