Description

This eclectic assembly of frontier-style weaponry and ceremonial items features a striking 14.5″ pipe tomahawk with a brass head and a 21″ catlinite (pipestone) pipe adorned with horsehair and dreamcatcher motifs. The collection highlights traditional craftsmanship styles, including an 11″ jawbone-handled knife with a 6″ hafted stone blade in a fringed leather scabbard, and a 7.5″ antler-handled obsidian knife. Modern additions include a beaded leather wristband and a 10.25″ “Old Smoky” folding hunter’s knife marked “Pakistan” with a “Liberty and Union” embossed bolster. Most pieces appear to be high-quality contemporary or 20th-century tributes to Plains Indian aesthetics rather than period artifacts. The items show light handling wear and minor scuffing to the stone and wood surfaces; the folding knife shows some surface oxidation on the blade. Jawbone knife: L 11″, W 2.5″. Tomahawk: L 14.5″, W 7.75″. Catlinite pipe: L 21″. Folding knife: L 10.25″. Please see photos for condition.
