Grandfather clock in an Empire style mahogany case. Face marked Hennegen & Bates Baltimore Maryland. Hennegen & Bates was a prominent 19th-century jewelry and retailing firm based in Baltimore, Maryland, known for retailing high-quality, often imported, tall case (grandfather) clocks. It has a silver and gold day/night face with Arabic numerals. Mahogany case has pillared corners and an arch top and is in VG condition. Has 5 gongs. Measures 87.5″ tall, 21″ wide, 13″ deep.
