Description
This exquisite mid-to-late 19th-century Victorian lap desk features a rich burl walnut exterior accented by intricate mother-of-pearl floral inlays and geometric cross-banded borders. The sloped writing surface unfolds to reveal a classic purple velvet-lined interior, complete with an upper stationary compartment and a lower divided tray for inkwells and pens. Repair Needed: There is a loose wood piece that requires reglueing to its original position within the interior assembly. Storage Configuration: The lower divided tray, intended for pens and inkwells, has sections where dividers can be removed or reconfigured. H 5.75″, W 14.875″, D 10.25″.
