Kings third book which includes the first book appearance of his celebrated “Letter from Birmingham Jail, written after his 1963 non-violent protesting arrest. Book is in good overall condition with moderate liquid damage noted throughout; some separation between the binding and the books cover creating slight unevenness. Some cosmetic blemishes such as discoloration, tears, holes & wrinkles on the jacket. Book appears complete with personalized Martin Luther King inscription on the books fly page. “To Mrs. Dorothy Harrison, With Best Wishes, Martin Luther King Jr” in ballpoint pen with blue ink. Dorothy Harrison was a known civil rights activist. JSA authentication (#ZZ31032) states inscription “Was Penned in the Hand of Martin Luther King Jr.” Own a true piece of American History.
