Oak Mills Violano serial number 1797. Very Good restoration candidate. All parts are present and it has its original violin which is marked Mills Novelty Company on the paper label inside the violin. The violin appears to be in good condition. The tuning weights and arms are present but appear to be reproductions. Oak cabinet has original front bifold doors and beveled glass and hardware, One of the front columns has a replacement capital (not installed). Has original coin mechanism and the coin box and front cover are also original. The sounding board appears to be in good condition with no visible cracks. The cast iron harp is free of any cracks and in good condition. A DC rectifier has been added. The piano action is all original . The oak cabinet appears to have never been refinished. There are several minor nicks and scrapes and some veneer damage on the edges of the top cover (right edge veneer missing) Additionally has some chips to the front and left side veneer face. The roll-frame motor/generator and governor are all present. The contact roller is present. All parts are present but not all installed.
