Description
Zeno chewing gum machine, 1900s, Zeno MFG Co, Chicago, IL, partnered with Wrigley who used Zeno’s gum as a free premium to attract customers, the gum became so popular, it eventually became Wrigley’s main business, companies merged in 1910 at which time the Zeno brand was discontinued, oak wooden cabinet with cast iron hardware, one-cent mech with a wind-up or clockwork system to dispense gum sticks, used in General Stores and Soda Fountains, appears to be a nice complete original, with inside directions, lock and key, original front metal sign, Zeno engravings on both sides and a yellow “Oh Boys, Old Zeno’s” sticker on front, good condition, see photos. A classic piece of early American coin operated history!
