Description
This is an early pedal airplane manufactured by Gendron Co. Seldom seen as complete and original, only missing the propeller. Making this one even more rare is that it is the “Columbia” model. The item has a few minor bends, surface rust, but striping, stenciling and lettering are very visible. The wood body in good condition. The story behind this unique item is that after it was discarded it was stashed as junk along with other items in a basement in a commercial building behind a makeshift wall that stood for many years until recently. The building was sold and remodeled. Going in as junk and coming out a rare treasure! Please see photos.
