Coin Op & Advertising - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 3
Lot 2401:
Description
This elegant wall mirror, likely from the early 20th century, showcases the refined aesthetics of Neoclassical revival design. The piece features a distinctive two-paneled glass construction: a top panel adorned with delicate wheel-cut floral and swag etchings, and a lower reflective panel, separated by a slender decorative shelf. The frame is crafted from wood with ornate cast metal overlays—possibly brass or spelter—displaying classic floral motifs and a prominent rose cresting. The finish is a sophisticated dark bronze and gold tone, resting on four decorative finial-style feet. Overall condition is good for its age; the frame shows some oxidation and rubbing to the finish, while the backing paper is torn and brittle. The glass panels show minor silvering loss and age-appropriate spotting. H 34″, W 9.5″, D 3.5″. Please see photos for condition.
