Description
These were produced by Wekara (Wilhelm E. Krumeich aus Ransbach) either for, or in the style of Mettlach in the early 20th century. A beautiful bowl with raised cameo designs of revelers. No visible chips, cracks or crazing on the bowl itself – exceptional for a century-old piece. Only one ‘bead’ on the lid appears to have a minor repair and upon close examination, the handle has a very fine stress fracture on one side where it attaches to the lid. No ladle.
