The Frank Rider Collection - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 2
Lot 1350:
Description
The Tanzbar (“dancing bear”) is a rare, early 20th-century German self-playing concertina produced by A. Zuleger of Leipzig between 1900 and the 1930s. It uses small, perforated paper rolls—similar to a player piano—to open reed valves, while the operator works the bellows and a lever to play, requiring coordination. In overall VG original condition with one replaced hand strap. Has a good bellows and plays well. Comes with 12 rolls. No carry case. Measures 16″ wide, 10″ tall, 9″ deep.
