These cast-aluminum, rectangular frames represent a fascinating look at the production history of the International Mutoscope Reel Co. of New York, renowned for their iconic coin-operated arcade machines. These appear to be raw, unfinished castings intended for the viewing mechanism or housing of a Mutoscope arcade machine, featuring a decorative floral flourish on one side and a clear patent marking on the edge. The pieces appear to be in excellent, clean, “new old stock” or unfinished condition, free from structural damage or oxidation, displaying a consistent, crisp cast texture throughout.
