The Frank Rider Collection - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 2
Lot 1117:
Description
This charming piece is a quintessential example of early 20th-century commercial cinema or confectionery equipment, designed as a countertop base for a popcorn machine. Featuring a classic oak-finish wooden cabinet with glass side panels and an iconic “POP CORN” marquee, this unit brings an authentic nostalgic flair to any collection. The cabinet is accompanied by a removable aluminum ventilation adapter, which served as a modular component for managing heat and steam during high-volume use. While the cabinet shows its age through significant wear, such as surface scratches, dust, finish fading, and some minor wood degradation consistent with its utilitarian history, it remains structurally sound and retains the classic aesthetic sought after by collectors of vintage Americana. The metal components exhibit expected oxidation and patina consistent with age. H 20″, W 17.5″, D 17.5″ (with removable vent, total H 26″). Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available post auction.
