This delightful collection features four classic mid-20th-century molded rubber toys manufactured by the iconic Auburn Rubber Company of Auburn, Indiana. These pieces represent a quintessential era of American play, characterized by durable, flexible rubber construction and charming, simplified industrial designs. The lot includes a detailed “Auburn F.D. Fire Dept. #1″ fire engine, a second fire service hose carrier, a patrol officer on a motorcycle, and a sleek Mercedes-Benz coupe. The molded details, such as the fire truck’s hose reels and the motorcycle’s engine block, showcase the impressive craftsmanship of the period. The toys are in complete, authentic condition with only light age-related surface wear and minor color fading expected of vintage rubber. Notably, the underside of the main fire engine shows signs of localized fire or heat exposure, adding a unique, albeit accidental, historical narrative to the piece.
