Description
This nineteenth-century American School oil on canvas is a copy of an Old Master painting, depicting the sun god Apollo with his chariot. The work by an unknown artist is unsigned. The canvas shows some stretcher bar appearances around all four edges and a darkening to the surface, indicating it needs a cleaning. The painting itself measures approximately 22″H x 44″W, and with its newer twentieth-century frame, the total dimensions are 30″H x 51″W.
