BOOM! Antique Du Pont Blasting Machine No. 3-A, often referred to as a “dynamite plunger”, commonly used in mining and construction to detonate explosives, manufactured by the E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co, Wilmington, DE, designed to fire 1 to 50 electric blasting caps simultaneously, this unit is original with exception of Philips screws added to the leather carrying strap, original oak box, still has brass wing nuts on the lugs to connect blasting wires, original brass nameplate on top, old, unrestored, as-found condition, appears to be complete, overall height with handle 16″, see photos.
