Description
Possibly made by the Fox Music Company, Kansas City, MO. – known for Nickelodeons. 41 note chromatic organ, plays standard “A” music rolls. Motorized, does not operate. Case and paintings are both in very good condition. Looks to be mechanically complete. This is believed to be the only known example of a Fox Band Organ. It was traded to Don Stinson who sold it to Frank Rider who restored it. The interior retains period instructions from a ‘McCarnie’, including colorful notes like, ‘If it don’t rewind…screw down two turns.’ Restored with historical inscriptions and light cosmetic wear from age.
