The Frank Rider Collection - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 2
Lot 1021:
Description
Another very early coin operated pinball with no manufacturers name or marks. Mostly made of wood with a good top glass and wood “legs”. The coin compartment is underneath with lock, no key. Looks to be complete with coin entry slide, ball plunger and small lever on right side to bring ball into playfield. Overall good condition with some light scuffs and scratches. A true example of the name. The playfield is full of small holes surrounded by small nails or pins.
43″ L x 18 1/2″ W x 37″ H
Found by the consignor’s father in a Port Clinton, OH Antique store, this pair includes one machine that was on display and a second reportedly still ‘knocked down’ in a crate – possibly New Old Stock as recounted by the family. Notably, one machine retains a gambling license affixed to the bottom that was issued in Ottawa county. The backs are described as tapered. One unit shows typical wear from display; the other in ‘stored’ condition.
