Firearms and Ammo Auction
Lot 1301b:
Description
Savage Model 99M, a design that revolutionized lever-action rifles by utilizing a rotary magazine which allows for the use of streamlined, pointed bullets like the .308 Winchester. This rifle, manufactured in 1964, features the iconic “Million Series” receiver markings, a gold-toned trigger, and a tang-mounted safety. The rifle has a checkered walnut with a Monte Carlo comb and comes equipped with a tooled leather sling and iron sights. Overall condition is good; the bluing shows some thinning on the high edges of the receiver and barrel, and the wooden stock exhibits scattered scuffs, surface scratches, and minor compression marks consistent with field use. Bore is clean and rifling is strong. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: 1072157
