Description
A Cold War era East German Makarov pistol chambered in 9x18mm. Made at the Ernst Thaelmann factory in Suhl in 1963, this is a highly regarded variant of the Soviet Makarov pistol, known for its high quality of craftsmanship and polish. These Makarovs saw service in the East German military, the Volkspolizei (VoPos), and the Ministry for State Security (Stasi) during the Cold War. This double/single action pistol features a slide-mounted safety and one, 8 round single-stack magazine. It has wood checkered grips with the Russian hammer and sickle, which are in excellent condition. The finish is in really good condition, showing holster wear on the edges and safety. Bore is clean and rifling is sharp. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: AS6955. C&R Eligible.
