Description
This is a rugged Yugoslavian M48 bolt-action rifle, a post-WWII derivative of the venerable German K98k design, manufactured at the Zastava Arms factory (Preduzece 44). This particular example features a rich wood stock with a visible serial number “V55932” stamped into the buttstock, matching the receiver. The barrel bears import marks from “PW ARMS REDMOND WA” and clearly identifies the “YUGO ZASTAVA 8mm” lineage. Notable details include the hooded front sight, adjustable rear tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters, and various “BK” (Vojna Kontrola) military inspection proofs on the bolt and floorplate. The rifle shows honest military wear with thinning bluing on the high edges, various handling marks, and scratches on the timber. The bore is noted as dark with fair rifling. H 4.75″, W 3″, D 43″.
