Description
An exceptional piece, a Colt .22cal Conversion Unit for the Model 1911. These conversion units were initially introduced in the 1930’s and designed specifically for the Government Model .45 and the Colt Super .38 Automatic Pistols. They allowed for a cost-effective training tool for military and civilian shooters. This specific unit is complete, having all the components. (Colt marked slide assembly, Colt magazine, barrel, floating chamber, ejector, recoil spring, slide stop). The slide is equipped with Colt’s Accro adjustable rear sight. The blued finish on the slide is 99%, showing little to no wear or marks. Bore and rifling are like new. Included with the unit is the original box and instructions, both in vintage condition showing wear and marks consistent with long term storage. Please see photos for overall condition.
