Firearms and Ammo Auction
Lot 1151:
Description
Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine produced at the famed Izhevsk Arsenal in 1945. This late-war example features the iconic hammer and sickle inside a wheat wreath and the Izhevsk arsenal mark. The receiver and magazine floorplate show matching serial numbers (??5875), while the bolt (??3782) appears to be a non-matching replacement, which is common for these surplus rifles. The stock has been upgraded to a black synthetic Monte Carlo-style stock with a padded nylon sling. The metal finish is in good condition, showing light thinning consistent with age and service, and the synthetic stock is in excellent condition. Bore is in good condition and rifling is strong. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. The rifle comes with a hard plastic case. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N:TF5875. C&R Eligible.
