Description

This sporterized Swedish M96 Mauser began its life as a military-grade firearm at the Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori in 1922, as indicated by the crisp receiver crown and markings. Chambered for the famously accurate 6.5x55mm cartridge, this rifle features a 23.5-inch barrel, a modern black synthetic stock with textured grip panels, a polished bolt with a turned-down handle for easier cycling, and bears serial number of 500740. The bolt, receiver, and floor plate numbers all match. Metal finish shows typical light thinning and surface wear consistent with age, and the synthetic stock remains in excellent condition with light handling marks. Bore is clean and rifling is crisp. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Overall, this rifle is really clean. Rifle comes with a hard plastic case. Please see photos for overall condition. S/N: 500740. C&R Eligible.
