Description
A nice example of a Yugoslavian M48A bolt-action rifle, a post-WWII derivative of the Mauser 98 design. Manufactured at the Kragujevac Arsenal (marked “Preduzeze 44”), this rifle features the socialist Yugoslavian crest on the receiver ring and is chambered in 8mm Mauser. The rifle displays matching serial numbers (46336) on the bolt, receiver, and stock. The hardwood stock shows a light finish with very minor handling marks, and the blued finish on the metal components remains deep and consistent, with little handling marks. The rifle is equipped with a modern Simmons 2-6×32 scope mounted via a long-eye-relief scout mount. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the scope optics are clear. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. Import stamps are visible on the barrel near the muzzle. Please see photos for overall condition.
