Description
This striking Egyptian Revival floor statue depicts Queen Ankhesenamun, the wife of King Tutankhamun and daughter of Nefertiti. Formed from hollow resin with a bold black and gold finish, the figure is shown seated in a traditional pose, crowned with the iconic sun disk and cow horns of the goddess Hathor. The base is decorated with deeply recessed hieroglyphics and Egyptian motifs. This piece captures the grand “Hollywood Regency” style of mid-to-late 20th-century Egyptian collectibles. The statue is in good vintage condition, showing only light surface dust, minor scuffs to the matte black finish, and slight rubbing to the gold gilding on the headdress and collar.
