Description
3 costume concept sketches from the 1960 movie, The Alamo. Although unsigned, it is presumed the sketches were done by John Jensen who was the storyboard artist for the movie. Each pencil sketch is in good condition. The 3 sketches are matted and framed under glass and overall measures 23″x12″ framed and each measures 5″x7″. John L. Jensen was a prominent 20th-century Hollywood costume designer, illustrator, and storyboard artist known for his work on iconic films starting in the 1950s, including The Ten Commandments (1956), The Buccaneer (1958), and The Alamo (1960). He specialized in detailed, hand-drawn storyboard illustrations and conceptual art for directors. For The Alamo, Jensen served as a concept artist for Batjac, John Wayne’s production company, producing over 60 pages of hand-drawn storyboard illustrations, including key action scenes and character moments.
