Description
Tony Curtis screen worn costume from the 1955 movie, The Purple Mask. A custom made purple tail coat with silk paneled lapels, lace cuffs, and goldtone buttons, with a Western Costume label. Together with a lace dickie and faded black silk bowtie. A black and white production still from The Purple Mask (Universal, 1955) depicting Tony Curtis wearing this costume accompanies this lot. PROVENANCE Lot 1388, “Western Costume Star Collection, ” Butterfield & Butterfield, Los Angeles, October 10, 1993. In good condition. Comes with display torso, 2 framed B&W stills from the movie, and a clapboard. Does not include glass case. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly.
