Description
This lot features three traditional Chinese auspicious symbols crafted from cast metal with a classic brass-toned finish. Included is a central 12-inch circular medallion featuring an intricate, stylized Shou (Longevity) fretwork design, flanked by two 6-inch tall characters: Shuangxi (Double Happiness), commonly associated with marriage and harmony, and a standard Shou character. These mid-to-late 20th-century pieces reflect the enduring popularity of Chinoiserie decor, likely originating from a high-end workshop in Hong Kong or Taiwan. The metal retains a bright, attractive luster with only minor surface pitting and light oxidation consistent with age. Each piece shows some residue on the reverse from previous mounting.
