Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1248:
Description
This monumental Egyptian Revival architectural entrance is an impressive example of high-end themed decor, likely commissioned for a cinema or themed attraction. Expertly crafted from fiberglass and resin, the set features two towering hollow columns heavily detailed with faux-hieroglyphics, supporting a wide horizontal lintel accented with protective scarab motifs and traditional winged sun disks. This lot includes the archway structure and the two gold-finished transition vases positioned atop the lintel, which feature detailed relief scenes and serpent-style handles; please note the four seated Pharaoh figures and the central winged female sculpture shown in the original photos are not included. The piece displays a bold, symmetrical aesthetic characteristic of classic revivalism, further enhanced by vibrant blue and gold polychrome accents on the corner cornice elements. It remains in good overall condition, showing only minor surface scuffs, light paint wear on the column bases, and some dust accumulation in the deep-relief carvings. H 110″, W 147″, D 44″ Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
