Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1240:
Description
This stunning Egyptian Revival decorative plaque depicts the god Heh, the personification of infinity and eternity, rendered in a style reminiscent of the treasures found in Tutankhamun’s tomb. The figure is shown in the traditional kneeling posture, grasping palm ribs representing “years,” flanked by protective falcons and topped with a winged solar disk. Crafted from what appears to be gilded wood or resin with vibrant polychrome enamel or paint accents, this piece captures the opulent “Discovery Era” aesthetic of the early 20th century. The intricate hieroglyphic borders and symbolic ankh further enhance its regal appearance. Panel: H 31″, W 31″, D 2″. The item is in good vintage condition with some minor surface wear, small scuffs to the gilded frame, and light dust accumulation in the recessed carvings. Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
