Hollywood Blvd Cinema Memorabilia
Lot 1038:
Description
These striking lanterns are quintessential examples of Moorish Revival craftsmanship, likely originating from Morocco or Turkey during the mid-20th century. Constructed from pierced brass and mixed metals, they feature intricate geometric openwork and repoussé detailing designed to cast dramatic patterns of light. The lot includes two substantial lanterns with matching bronze/brass hanging posts (not pictured) , plus several smaller accent lanterns and a large stained-glass fixture. The metalwork shows a desirable aged patina with some oxidation and minor surface wear consistent with age; the pierced panels remain largely intact, though one lantern shows slight compression to the decorative finials. H 27″, W 10″, D 10″ (Lanterns); L 43″ Please use photos to judge condition and bid accordingly. Please note: Buyer is responsible for removal. From the Hollywood Blvd. Cinemas Collection.
