Description

WWII US M1911 Holsters & Inert Grenades

This lot features a pair of M1911 .45 caliber pistol holsters produced by the renowned Boyt Harness Company, both clearly stamped "BOYT" and dated "42” (black) and “44." (brown). One is finished in the classic russet leather while the other is black (likely a post-war arsenal dye or later production). Accompanying these are two inert MK2 "pineapple" style grenades; one is a standard inert practice piece, and the other is a cast iron trainer. These trainers were essential for drills, and while this example is missing its pull ring, it retains the cotter pin. Both holsters remain in exceptional, robust condition with minimal wear and supple leather. The grenades show an honest, aged patina consistent with military training use. Grenades: H 4.25", W 2.25" Holsters: H 11”, W 5”, D 2.5”. Please see photos.
