Description
A garden weather vane featuring a copper sculpture of a flying crane or heron with extended wings. The figure is crafted from hollow copper with repoussé relief feather detailing and soldered seams. It is mounted on a directional arrow and includes a separate heavy metal directional cross featuring ornate scrollwork and cardinal points (N, S, E, W). Condition is weathered; the surface exhibits a mixed dark brown and verdigris patina, with visible bending to the arrow fletching and general wear from outdoor use. Est. 18 x 39 x 35 top, 25 x 30 x 29.
