Description
A very nice Imperial German WWI Mle. 1917 cast iron Eierhandgranate [Egg] hand grenade with a Mle. 1913 Friction fuze [5 or 7 second] and removable. Cast iron body in good, dug condition. “17” stamped on body. Dimensions: 3.5” w/ fuze x 2.5” wide. More portable than the heavy Kugel and less cumbersome than stick type grenades. Could be used as an offensive or defensive role. A great find. See photos.
